Americans Love Baseball Caps

1.) If you are playing professional baseball, it’s part of your uniform.

2.) Some people are fans of baseball and like to show support for their favorite team.

3.) Some people wear them to show their love for…well…anything really. It could be a movie/tv franchise, a vacation spot you like, telling a joke, it’s a color you like, a food or restaurant you enjoy, your political party, etc. In the film business, people wear them frequently as part of their daily uniform while working on set, such as the director, camera people, etc. They’ll even have the logo of the movie they’re working on sometimes stamped on their hat.

4.) Some people just like wearing them as part of their outfit, particularly if they are the outdoorsy types. Tomboys and people on vacation are some of the most common.

5.) They’re good for keeping the sun out of your eyes on a bright, summer day, and can even help prevent you from getting your face sunburned.

6.)The baseball cap was developed to improve a player's ability to function as a player in the sun. It is not hard to see why it would transfer to the "civilian" population. It is very practical, small so it can be stuffed in a pocket when not needed and is inexpensive
